For those who don’t know The Allman Brothers are a southern rock band that started in the late 60’s and continued on into the 70’s. Now they didn’t have the sound of say bands like The Outlaws or Lynyrd Skynyrd. I personally was not a big fan of the band as I felt their music was too blues oriented mixed in with some rock n roll. Now having said that I do know a few tunes of this band and the DVD is about the tragic death of Duane Allman in 1971. I thought he played on more than 2 studio albums and a live album. They actually had more success after he died. The DVD is full of interviews and footage of the band. If you’re a fan of The Allman Brothers band this is easily a must get. It follows the band right after his death and beyond. Clocks in at almost 2 hours. The band went through a lot in their career and you will get it first hand from the people that were there. This is why if you’re a fan you will easily want this. Info: MVD
