The M3 festival Is a three-day music event that is held at Merriweather Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland. The M3 Festival is a celebration of 80s music genre. For many fans this is the one time of the year where they get together with friends to celebrate life and music. M3 Rock Festival’s Official M3 Kix-Off Party on Friday, May 6th features hometown heroes KIX with special guests Doro and Lizzy Borden, and a special VIP-only performance from Count 77. KIX has headlined the Friday night line up every year. KIX puts on a great rock show.
2022 M3 Rock on Saturday, May 7th and includes multiplatinum selling internationally known ‘80s artists: Tom Keifer, Extreme, Blue Öyster Cult, Stephen Pearcy, Tony Harnell (Voice of TNT), Heavens Edge, Vain, and more. Stick around for Sunday, May 8th featuring Tesla, Skid Row, Stryper, Yngwie Malmsteen, Zebra, Quireboys, Leatherwolf, and Burning Witches.
One of the best things about the M3 music festival is the after party. I remember in 2019 the band Autograph performed the after party. It was amazing to hear the song Turn up the radio turn up at 2 AM. It is a great way for young fans to experience the music by coming to M3. It is also an opportunity to meet the bands performing, buy merchandise, meet new friends, see interviews. If you cannot make it to M3 The Metal Summit has you covered they will be doing live interviews and bringing you the experience of being at M3. Coming to M3 is worth the trip. The venue itself, Merriweather pavilion is a good venue. They have an upstairs section or you can go upstairs order a beer, order something to eat and watch it from the second level for people with lawn tickets. It’s a very friendly atmosphere and everybody for the most part is really nice and cool with each other. My advice bring a lot of quarters for pinball machines one of the coolest ways to pass the time in between sets. They have a lounge area inside of the venue. Tickets are still available lawn area according to Ticketmaster are $75 for 3 day event and $250 for 200 level for 3 day package. Lawn area you do have to bring your own chair.
