Being involved in the arts in one form or another, most of his life, Mike Bohatch took his passion for horror movies and the love for creating bizarre images into the realm of illustration. While working many years in the digital field in all aspects of print, design, the web and multimedia it wasn’t until implementing his studies of traditional fine arts, that he began to bring true realization to his ideas and visions. By combining the physical side of fine arts with the electronic realm of computer graphics he began a process of imagemaking he refers to as “digital organics”.
Currently Mike specializes in horror and dark, surreal, metaphysical illustration combining a mixture of drawing, painting, collage, photography, and digital compositing. Professional work includes numerous CD art compositions, magazine illustrations and covers, comic covers, motion graphics and video covers.
