The release of PINK FLOYD’S concert album of “The Wall” has been delayed until February 2000 due to problems in restoring the original tapes

Neal Morse from Spock’s Beard has hooked up with Mike Portnoy Dream Theater’s drum god, Pete Trewavas of UK cult phenoms Marillon and Roine Stolt from Sweden’s Flower Kings to create Second Nature. Entitled ” SMPTe” the album arrives in March.
EIDOLON The Toronto based metal band has been signed by Metal Blade. Look for their release “Nightmare World” to hits the streets sometime in late winter / early spring of 2000
SLASH’S SNAKEPIT According to Rolling Stone, Slash is back with a new Snakepit album. The still-untitled Jack Douglas-produced album, which is set for release on Geffen in February, features an entirely different lineup from the one Slash used for his 1995 Snakepit debut. Gone are singer Eric Dover and Slash’s fellow GN’R vets Matt Sorum, Gilby Clarke and Dizzy Reed; replaced by drummer Matt Laug, bassit Johnny Griparic, rhythm guitarist Ryan Roxie and vocalist Rod Jackson.
DIO Forthcoming album, Magica, is due out on Spifire in early February 2000. Joining the ledgendary singer Ronnie James Dio are returning axeman Craig Goldy, newly returned bassit Jimmy Bain, ex- Dio / ex-AC/DC drummer Simon Wright and long time keyboardist Scott Warren.
DORO PESCH has signed a deal with German label Steamhammer, which will garner better European distribution via SPV than her previous deal did with WEA. A new album is due early next year, and catalog reissues will also follow. http://www.doropesch.com/
OPERA IX has signed with Avantgarde. The band will record their third full length album in January at Underground Studios in Sweden.
EYEHATEGOD Century Media has assembled a compilation, Southern Discomfort, for New Orieans Eyehategod (R.I.P.) featuring previously hard-to find tracks taken from their various 7″ releases and some unreleased studio recordings omitted from their three prior full-lengths. The album is tentatively scheduled for a Jan / Feb release date.
ESTHETIC PALE Because of an injured finger of bass player Hans Kuhl the release of the new album has to be postponed to spring 2000.
LIZZY BORDEN has resurfaced and signed a new deal with Metal Blade Records. Lizzy’s ” Deal With The Devil ” will be released in early 2000 with a world tour to follow.
MANOWAR has to delay the release of their first home video due to touring commitments in Scandinavia and Russia. The video will be released March 2000.
STRATOVARIUS first album for Nuclear Blast entitled ” IInfinite” will be released on Feb, 28th, 2000.

AC/DC has just about completed work on their forthcoming as- yet- untitled CD at Warehouse Studios in Vancouver. 17 tracks have been recorded and produced by George Young. However, only 12 tracks will make it on the album due out sometime January 99.

BLAZE Former Iron Maiden vocalist Blaze Bayley has confirmed that his new project, Blaze, will release their debut album in late March. The ten-tracker will be called “Silicon Messiah” and was produced by Andy Sneap.
